🌲🌿🍃

I really love walking my pup at a near by park. The best stress relief for me is spending my time with nature and appreciating the little things. The beauty of birds, wildflowers, and trees. It’s also great for meditation. I spend my time to cleanse my aura in nature.

A great way to cleanse your aura is touching trees, I know it sounds strange but it actually works for me. The roots of trees are deeply penetrated in our Earth, visualize your negativity transferring back to Mother Earth. Trees hold wisdom and stories beyond years. As an empath I pick up negative energy, that it overwhelms me, it’s crucial to get rid of it.

In Jacksonville, I would always smile at trees and touch them. At first I didn’t know why I was doing it but I always felt better. Upon further research, I noticed that trees are a great way to rid all negative forces. Whenever I see a tree stump I get sad and affirm them that they will grow larger than it’s previous form. Make sure you ask the tree for permission before you approach them.

It doesn’t mean I don’t believe in God I do, I love God he created Earth. I just don’t need religion to suppress my beliefs. I’m a free thinker and religion was made to control minds, for lost souls. Without religion the world would be in more chaos than it is. Humans need structure, morals, and faith. Something to believe in. I was raised Roman Catholic and my husband is a devout Christian, our middle ground: if you believe in God, all is well. I’m not going to force my beliefs down throats.

Here’s a tune for the day, very reminiscent of Breathe Me by Sia:

🌙 Moon Pixie✨

Decided to play with my metallic tattoos today, I’m surprised how shiny they look. I titled this pixie because that’s how I got my blog name, Moxia! My blog was called the Seamstress Empress, but Mark told me that it’s hard to remember. I had to find a shorter name, that’s when I did a fantasy name generator and put my name Monica... They listed several names but Moxia pulled my heartstrings. It was described to belong to a pixie. I love fairies so much that I own fairy tarot cards.

Pixies are described as childlike and michevious. I appear to look like a 16 year old, but I’m actually 25. Before it used to bother me because I’d get carded whenever I wanted a drink. Now I learned how to embrace myself and my appearance. In the long run, when I’m 50 I’ll look 25. The perks of being Asian.

Currently, I’m obsessed with this song:

Let me know how you got your blog name in the comments 🖤

🌷Tulip Town Mt Vernon🌷

Mark and I decided to explore today since the sun was gleaming. Lately, it’s been so gloomy that I barely get the chance to sightsee and play tourist. We ended up at Tulip Town in Mount Vernon and it was $7/ea. I’d say it’s not worth it because there are other competition around this area. Needless to say, I’m very elated with our mini adventure.

Mark hates taking my photos for my lookbook account... I can be very demanding and meticulous with the vibe I’m trying to exhibit. He was also annoyed with the crowds because he felt rushed. As an empath it drains my energy because of his anxiety. I’m surprised how the photos turned out.

Be mindful that it gets muddy and smells like fertilizer, if you decide to visit. Thanks for reading!

Greetings!~

Today I wanted to go take photos at a park, but I was too shy to do it because there were people around so we drove around and saw this dock where all these boats were, then tada!!! It was quite difficult shooting because this Florida heat makes both of us (Mark and I) impatient. The sun was beaming and Mark hates to sweat, so I tried to relax more on my facial expressions, I totally was going to be a grouch today if he didn't get it right.

The deal is if he takes my photos for my blog then I will go grocery shopping and be a total angel to him. I HATE grocery shopping, there's crowds and I get really anxious and nervous. I have no clue why but I just hate going there. He takes forever, but he says it his favorite past time with his mom, so I can't complain. Adorable right?

The last photo sums up pretty much the mood that I was in, FRUSTRATED. I reviewed all the photos and we had some lighting problems. Then we decided to walk to another location where I guess people have parties, and he took some photos there. I was happy because of the lighting but then the location just threw me off because I'm on the rocks then grass and now a wooden platform. As I started uploading my photos from my camera I remembered I have Adobe Photoshop <3 ***angel harps playing***

Long story short I'm an idiot and I will use the location, wooden platform place, on another blog post with a different outfit. So it doesn't confuse people. And I am so glad that I have Photoshop to edit my pics because now I don't have to worry about the lighting as much. I will be cautious though because no one likes an overexposed pic.

Lavender's Blue

Printed Blue Long Sleeved Dress (Altar'd State). 'Poet' Hat (Bailey of Hollywood). Pony Boots (To be Announced Shoes).

Hello Earthlings!~

Today I tried out a new sushi place called Mizu, it's alright, nothing compares to Hawaii sushi. And I miss Hawaii sushi so badly!!! Mizu is chill, missed out on the happy hour menu but we were so hungry that we didn't want to wait another hour.

Anyways, after eating Mark took my pics outside the sushi joint and we saw a pond area that was perfect to shoot. Whenever we see a duck, it just fascinates us because we don't see ducks walking around in Hawaii, only at the zoo. They just roam freely here. While Mark was taking my photos the ducks would walk closer and closer to us. We kept laughing because there was that one sad lonely duck and we wanted to keep it because it looked so disheveled..."That duck's been through a lot, it knows the struggle"... Mark is hilarious...

The dress I'm wearing is from Altar'd State and I love this store because their motto is: stand out for good. Some of the clothes have tags printed, "a portion of the proceeds from every Altar'd State brand purchases will be donated to feed, clothe, and educate children", like YAS! Such an inspiring store.

Okay so the reason why I titled this post Lavender's Blue is because Mark said the dress reminded him of Cinderella. And ever since we watched the movie we'd sing the lullaby to each other, I also catch him singing it in the shower. It's such a funny and cute song, when clearly lavender is not blue, it's lavender. It's our little inside joke.

Stellar,

Update: Jacksonville, Florida

Dress (H&M). Boots (TBA shoes). Alexander Wang X H&M sunglasses.

I know it's been a whole month since I've updated this blog. It's so hard transitioning from Hawaii to Florida. I'm getting use to the whether (I'm freezing mostly everyday). During the weekends, I tell Mark to take pictures of me, so I am back (to blogging)...

I like it here so far, I miss my family and friends back home but I like exploring the area. Mark and I went on a nature trail, I love how the leaves change colors and I got to collect pinecones. Anything rustic and woodsy has my name on it! ^_^ And the bench I'm sitting on written "K&S" so romantic, or is it vandalism?! (lol)

In this look I kept it really simple with this black dress and wore my Alexander Wang X H&M sunglasses, I still have to post the infamous WANG cropped sweater I got from the collab, I know it's so late to post, but I was waiting for the right moment. This dress is one of my 'drunk shopping' items with Mark after our wedding. >_<

All I want is positive vibes and more adventures with my husband, I have to get used to saying that... Oh and all my pictures are by Mark, pretty alright for his first shoot with me. I also decided to add him in the video because he was teasing me when I was doing the walking scenes...

Nu WANG

Top (Alexander Wang x H&M). Chastity Bag (Alexander Wang). Cut Out Boots (Forever 21).

I just wanted to just show one of the items I'm obsessing about! It's the Alexander Wang mesh cut out sweater. I stood in line at 5 am in the morning with my best friend Ian. There wasn't a lot people when we got there because people in Hawaii really don't care for designer. Out of all the items that were part of the collection, I knew I had to get my hands on this! I kept talking to my boyfriend, Mark, about how much I loved this sweater but it was way over budget. Like the sweet boyfriend that he is, he told me to buy it and he said he'll pay me back. Come to find out he paid for the whole thing! He bought me this and these other two items I got from this collection as a birthday present!!! (*HAPPY FACE*)

I'm so lucky he supports me! What did you buy from the Alexander Wang Collaboration with H&M? Are you happy with your items?
