Inspired by Fringe

Hi Moon Pixies,

Lately I’ve been uninspired which keeps me in a stagnant awkward phase. I don’t want my blog to end. This is my online diary and would love to look back at this in the future. I feel like everyone goes through different experiences, which is what makes us unique.

I also want to share my hardships in life. To let people know that you are not alone. I don’t know where I’m going with this but my life motto is to spread the light inside me and brighten up your day.

I’ve been feeling in a rut creatively. I love to listen to music, write in my journal, or go for a nice long walk. Just to spark a little inspiration in me. Sometimes even buying a certain clothing will inspire me too.

Recently I bought this suede fringe jacket from Zara’s summer sale. Seeing this jacket on sale made me excited. I always wanted to add a brown finge jacket to my wardrobe. When I saw it, it went straight to the cart.

Whenever I wear this jacket I feel unstoppable, free spirit, and really confident. Just looking at it in my closet makes me happy. I know it sounds materialistic, but fashion to me is my art form. I escape in the clothes I wear. One day I’m a traveling nomad and the next I’m a Moon Pixie.

Love you to the moon & back,
Moxia 🌙

🌙 Moon Pixie✨

Decided to play with my metallic tattoos today, I’m surprised how shiny they look. I titled this pixie because that’s how I got my blog name, Moxia! My blog was called the Seamstress Empress, but Mark told me that it’s hard to remember. I had to find a shorter name, that’s when I did a fantasy name generator and put my name Monica... They listed several names but Moxia pulled my heartstrings. It was described to belong to a pixie. I love fairies so much that I own fairy tarot cards.

Pixies are described as childlike and michevious. I appear to look like a 16 year old, but I’m actually 25. Before it used to bother me because I’d get carded whenever I wanted a drink. Now I learned how to embrace myself and my appearance. In the long run, when I’m 50 I’ll look 25. The perks of being Asian.

Currently, I’m obsessed with this song:

Let me know how you got your blog name in the comments 🖤

What the Fringe?

Black Floppy(Chapel Hats). Fringe Top(Charlotte Russe). Slit Skirt(American Apparel). Velvet Shoes(H&M). Coin Bag (Thrifted).

Hello Earthlings!~

So recently I went to the Alexander Wang x H&M collab, and I can't wait to style looks with it. I also have 2 more looks coming up I did earlier this week but I'm putting it on hold and shooting the A Wang collab instead. It was crazy busy! If you follow me on instagram, @monicahellz I look like a happy camper! My best friend and I were in line since 5am luckily people in Hawaii don't give a sht about designer collabs, or they just don't know about them... We had a game plan and I walked out with all the items I wanted! Don't worry I will post it up pretty soon, I've just been busy at work. It's so much fun working with my best friend! Especially when I am helping with his sales.

Anyways back to this post I love the slimy peace symbol and fringe. The skirt is getting faded (*sad face*). I bought the shoes at H&M a while back and it was on sale for only $8! Great for the Holiday season! I'm so stoked for the Holidays.

UNIFicial

666 top(UNIF). Suspender shorts(UNIF). Platforms(UNIF). Fringe Kimono (UNIF).

Fellow Earthlings,

I've been obsessed/supporting UNIF for 2 years, and this is where all my $$$ gets spent. Now that I'm working a new job and the pay isn't that great I have to resist this coveted brand. But I'm glad this brand is well known and people in Hawaii are rocking it. I love the whole neogrunge look. I don't categorize my own personal style to just one genre. I can be really girly ethereal one day and devil's advocate the next. I love mixing it up and it really depends on my mood. Fashion is expressing myself and a form of art for me. In Hawaii people can be really close minded to my style and I honestly don't give a fck when I get *looks* or insulted. I'm just being myself and not giving a damn, because trust me when you don't give a fck about what people think about you, your life will get better. Don't let anyone bring you down and tell you that you look like a clown. It's not your fault you're cute and everyone is basic. I've been scrutinized my whole life being different/weird/crazy/"unique" but I'm not the type of person to change myself for others. So don't feel discouraged exploring in fashion. Wear whatever the hell you want and rock the shit out of it. Confidence is the best accessory, it'll exude into your outfit and then people will hate then copy.
